I sincerely thank Mr. Rick Riordon for inspiring my son to devour Greek Mythology beyond his readings of the Percy Jackson series.

It was my son’s enthusiasm for Apollo, Poseidon, Athena, and Hermes (God of messengers and super-chic messenger bags)...

Thank You Great God, Hermes...

...which turned me in the direction of Greece for family vacay 2011.

Add on an invitation to yacht for a week through the Greek Islands and our bags were packed.

Ocean Perl - eat your heart out Mikimoto!

We started our journey on the island of Corfu where we spent one lovely night at the Grec Hotel Imperial.

Reunited with my yummies after 2 weeks solo

The next day we jumped on the uber modern, chic, mega-yacht  the Ocean Perl, for a week at sea... 

...where we played in the water

Hydra, the Nantucket of Greek Islands

Shopped for treasures...

Sailed through the Corinth Canal

Took in a little culture...
