Postcard Greece Part 2 ~ Mykonos

Mykonos is gorgeous and fun, filled with wonderful restaurants, great people-watching and good shopping.

Our travel companions extraordinaire!!

Our hotel, the Santa Marina is the perfect combo of luxury, family and cool...

The beach is so lovely, look at the crystal clear water.

We ate Tsatziki EVERY DAY at lunch (a yogurt and cucumber dip)...while we listened to groovy, loungy, cool music.

Between bites, I shazamed:
Enjoy!!

Santa Marina

Amelie customized my room key! Best souvenir ever!
And, get a load of Starwoods program for Unicef. Uh huh, I knew I collected those points for a reason!

We always squeeze some culture into our trips, so we hopped on a boat and visited Delos Island, birthplace of Apollo and Athena, according to Greek Mythology.

This is one old island...with ruins dating back to 600 AD.

Trio of tourists on Delos

Seriously smart cooking.

A stove from 400 BC with a grill and three different hot pots.
Now that's Glamping!
No trip to Mykonos would be complete without a lunch at Nammos.

Nammos is THE spot for lunch...

Orange crushing on those nails!

Super chic cushions (and children) at Nammos

I hear the chocolate mousse is delicious...

Trips into town include Sunset dinners, Souvenir shopping and some serious food!

Aqua Taverna Restaurant

We watched the sun dip into the water and made a wish....

Then ate some spinach and cheese balls...Seriously delish!

Another favorite, Interni Restaurant.

More Shazaming took place here! Mykonos "gets" good music, good atmosphere and good food!!

Not to mention shopping...

My girlfriend, Nina, savvy on all things Greek, tipped me off to visit the legendary jeweller,
Ilias Lalaounis.

Definitely worth the visit!

Before we leave beautiful Greece, we jotted down our wishes and set them free in a floating lantern...

My favorite scene in any Disney movie, EVER!! The lanterns in Tangled.

Our lantern of wishes....

Time to head back to Paris before going hooooome!!!
